A disaggregate model of passenger-freight matching in crowdshipping services

•We model crowdshipping at disaggregate level combining an activity based model for passenger transport and an agent based freight transport model.•Allocation of parcels to travellers is done consistently with microeconomic theory and behavioural assumptions.•Crowdshipping impacts addressed include platform revenues, parcel delivery costs, traffic volumes and emissions.•A first application indicates that crowdshipping is likely to increase congestion and GHG emissions.
