Abstract
•The interference effect is a vital factor that needs to be considered when improving solar cell’s performance and making accurate measurements.•Different influences of interference effects introduced by transparent conductive oxide and metal electrodes were investigated.•The thickness of indium zinc oxide (IZO) film should be set to 200 nm to match the current in perovskite/silicon monolithic tandem solar cells when considering the interference effect.•IZO thickness, absorber thickness and bandgap need to be modified synergistically for a tandem solar cell if the interference effect is introduced.
