Chemical constituents from the fungus Phellinus baumii and their anti-inflammatory activity

Chemical investigation on the fungus Phellinus baumii led to the isolation of twenty-two compounds including two undescribed sesquiterpenes, namely phellinbaumins A and B, and three undescribed alkyl-benzene derivatives, namely phellinbaumins C–E. Phellinbaumins A and D displayed moderate inhibitory activities on nitric oxide (NO) production with IC50 values of 31.7 and 24.3 μM, respectively.
