242. Translational Computational Assessment of Approach-Avoidance Conflict in Human Anxiety

Approach-avoidance conflict tasks, such as the Vogel conflict test, are the dominant animal models of anxiety. However, direct human-animal translations of approach-avoidance conflict are surprisingly lacking, limiting the adoption of contemporary computational psychiatry approaches to understanding approach-avoidance conflict. To address this we sought to develop, and computationally-model, a new translational assessment of approach-avoidance conflict in humans.
