摘要
The cerebellum contains a higher concentration of CB1 receptors, activated by Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol when it binds as a ligand, compared to other brain regions. Therefore, cannabis use might impact the functioning of the cortico-cerebellar-thalamic-cortical circuits (CCTCC) by over-stimulating the CB1 receptors, causing a dampening of the response to endogenous cannabinoids. The CCTCC is involved in bodily functions such as movement. We hypothesized that cannabis users (CU) would exhibit a decrease in the resting-state functional connectivity (FC) of the cerebellum in the CCTCC.
