386. Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase is Associated With Impulsiveness: A Pet Study in Overnight Abstinent Chronic Cannabis Users
Biological Psychiatry(2023)
摘要
Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase (FAAH) is the enzyme responsible for metabolizing the major endocannabinoid anandamide. FAAH has been linked with addiction-relevant phenotypes including increased impulsiveness, which compromises one’s ability to exert control over drug craving and compulsive drug-use. Here we investigated whether lower brain FAAH levels during early abstinence from cannabis in individuals with cannabis use disorder (CUD), are associated with higher self-reported impulsiveness.
