504. Greater Perceived Stress is Associated With Reduced Default Mode to Salience Network Connectivity in Adolescents

Acute stress is necessary for survival and plays a role in modulating communication between neural networks; however, prolonged periods of stress may contribute to psychopathology. Default mode network (DMN) and salience network (SN) demonstrate neurobiological changes under stress, and better understanding of how acute stress alters underlying neurobiology during adolescence may guide brain-targeted early interventions.
