Sequential Scheme of Full Composition Model for CO2 Flooding in Adaptive-Mesh System

This paper implements a novel adaptive mesh methodology to sequential fully implicit method (SFI) of composition model for CO 2 flooding. Specific mesh upscaling and downscaling procedures are taken into account, so as to ensure continuity of physical quantities and conservation of pressure equations. Besides, a velocity-based reordering algorithm in adaptive-mesh system is proposed for saturation equations and mole fraction equations. Through a three-phase nine-component numerical case, the efficiency and the accuracy of this methodology have been verified.
