摘要
Torque and speed scaling has always been a challenging issue in industrial facilities. Nowadays, magnetic gears are becoming the proper alternative to their mechanical counterpart due to their inherent advantages. As magnetic gears are scaling the torque, their torque characteristics quality is considerably worthy. Thus, their structural design gains from a higher importance level compared with other electromagnetic devices to satisfy the desired requirements. Taguchi is a design of experiments method that reduces required experiments using orthogonal arrays. As 3D-FEA is time-consuming, reduction of essential experiments is beneficial. In this paper, an axial-flux magnetic gear torque profiles have been optimized utilizing the Taguchi method. In this regard, the number of experiments has been decreased 27 times. The optimum level and severity of each control factor have been measured by S/N ratios. Also, ANOVA statistical technique has been used to determine the participation percentage of each factor. Maximum applicable torque, average torque, and torque ripple have been analyzed separately. Eventually, multi-objective optimization using the weighting factors method was applied, and the obtained results have been analyzed by S/N ratios and ANOVA techniques.
