摘要
Molecules that are 10-9 nanometers in size are commonly referred to as nanoparticles, and they frequently have characteristics including homogeneity in size and shape, conductivity, and optical qualities. The size, shape, and content of nanoparticles largely define their physical and chemical characteristics. The features of single component nanoparticles have limited applications. To overcome this limitation bimetallic nanoparticles can be synthesized, which consist of two distinct metals. In this work, three different types of bimetallic nanoparticles were synthesised using Borassus flabellifer (toddy palm) namely Zr-Co nanoparticles. They were characterised by using EDAX and SEM. The antibacterial activity of these nanoparticles was compared. All the tested nanoparticles demonstrated good anti-bacterial activity against both the gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Antioxidant as well as antitumor activity of the bimetallic nanoparticles was also investigated. The results are presented and communicated in the light of existing literature.
