摘要

•The membrane using cigarette filters with Fe3+ ions presents photocatalytic capacity.•Removal of reactive dye with obtained membranes is investigated.•The studies show that it was possible to degrade 85.7% of the reactive dye.•The reusability of the material doesn't decrease the catalytic activity efficiency.
