What are validated questionnaires and which ones measure quality of life?

Despite being some of the most misunderstood clinical and research tools, validated questionnaires are here to stay. They continue to gain prominence partly due to a growing emphasis on evidence-based patient- and family-centred healthcare. Additionally, dichotomies such as “yes/no”, “recurrence/remission”, “present/resolved”, or “alive/dead” clinical outcomes are insufficient for many, if not most, paediatric urological complaints.
