摘要
In this paper, we propose a liquid-infiltrated elliptical core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with a background of nanocomposite for analyzing optical properties. In order to achieve a nanocomposite, we have doped metal nanoparticles such as Ag and Au in the silica glass material with filling factor of 0.1. The numerical analysis of performance parameters such as birefringence, effective mode area, nonlinearity, and power in core is evaluated using finite element method. The proposed fiber characteristics are analyzed by CS 2 or CCl 4 liquid filled in the elliptical core as well as varied ellipticity ratio from 1.3 to 2 μm at a third window of 1.55 μm. Further, we have compared proposed fiber optical properties in different cases such as undoped silica, doped silica with Ag, and doped silica with Au. The results disclosed that the performance of optical parameters such as birefringence of 1.27 × 10 –2 , effective mode area of 1.41 × 10 –13 m 2 , and nonlinearity of 9.17/w/m is enriched for the case of CS 2 with doped silica compared to CCl 4 filling. The proposed fiber can be implemented practically using current fabrication technologies.
