On the Digital Algorithms for the DASK Signal Noncoherent Demodulation

The digital algorithms for a noncoherent demodulation of the differential multi-level amplitude shift keyed (DASK) signals are considered, in which the transmitted information determines the ratio of the amplitudes of the received and previous symbols, and the sign is set according to the phase shift of these symbols. Such demodulation does not require neither the calibration of the received signal levels, nor the phase locking of the reference generator. The demodulator response to the DASK signals is studied. The estimation of a demodulation noise immunity is carried out, and the recommendations on the signal parameters are provided. #COMESYSO1120.
