Intercomparison of On-Orbit Consistency of Radiometric Calibration Between Two Sensor Calibration Spectrometers of HY Satellite

HY-1C/1D are the latest ocean color satellites of China, SCS(Sensor Calibration Spectrometers) is a hyper-spectral calibrator used for cross calibration with the other remote sensors such as OCT and CZI of the same platform for improving the ocean color product. The On-Orbit radiometric method based on the solar diffuser of SCS is introduced, a novel cross calibration model based spectral reconstruction of SCS and other remote sensors is built, the verified result of the typical data is: the precision of the cross calibration arrived 93% by contrast with the retrieval radiance by SCS and the L1 level production of MODIS in 13 VNIR spectral bands. The calibration consistency between two SCSs is evaluated by the synchronous data, the result shows that the calibration differences among them have been within 5%, which means the SCS can meet the requirement of the cross calibration for other remote sensors on the same or different platform.
