On Computation of Entropy Measures and Heat of Formation for Sodium Oxide Via Statistical models

Abstract The chemical graph theory is a new branch of applied chemistry in which we discuss the relationships between atoms and bonds and their chemical activities with the help of different combinatorial tools. A topological index is a numerical quantity that relates the thermodynamical properties of a chemical structure to its corresponding chemical graph. In this paper, we discuss the physical measures including heat of formation and entropy based on the topological properties of chemical graph of Sodium oxide. Moreover, relations between the topological indices and thermodynamical properties of Sodium oxide have been developed in the form of mathematical equations by applying different curve fitting techniques using MATLAB software. These methods have been selected on the basis of statistical tests including mean squared error, sum of squared error or $R^2$-test.
