CDIEA: Chaos and DNA Based Image Encryption Algorithm

Chaos and DNA Based Image Encryption Algorithm (CDIEA) is an image encryption algorithm proposal. CDIEA is an iterated block cipher algorithm built from permutations, chaotic keys, and DNA operations. CDIEA combine the strong structures introduced by modern cryptography and the strong properties introduced by chaotic systems instead of designing encryption system completely using chaotic systems. Permutations are constructed using the wide trail design strategy, which makes it possible to give strong statements about the resistance of CDIEA against large classes of cryptanalytic attacks. CDIEA is a byte-oriented SP-network. Theoretical analysis and computer experiments confirm that CDIEA possesses high security for practical image encryption.
