Efficient separation of C4 olefins with fluorinated anion-pillared hybrid ultramicroporous materials by gate-opening and size-sieving effect

摘要
Two fluorinated anion-pillared hybrid ultramicroporous materials, KAUST-7 and KAUST-8, can effectively separate C4 olefins through gate-opening and size-sieving effect. KAUST-7 selectively adsorbs C4H6 while KAUST-8 efficiently separates iso-C4H8 from C4 olefins in a single step, making both HUMs promising for industrial applications.
