Ultrasound-Guided Endoscopic Endonasal Resection of a Suprasellar Craniopharyngioma

Craniopharyngiomas are tumors of the central nervous system that recur after surgical resection. The endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) for resection of craniopharyngioma is often utilized for tumor resection. Intraoperative ultrasound guidance can assist in confirmation and differentiation of pathology prior to dural opening. In this case, we highlight the novel utilization of intraoperative ultrasound guidance for the confirmation of craniopharyngioma and subsequent EEA extended transsphenoidal approach for tumor resection.
