摘要

•A typical acid gas sweetening process was analyzed and optimized based on exergy analysis.•Novel low temperature absorption process with cold recovery was developed.•Modified distillation process combining a heat pump with split flow feed was developed.•Energy saving of 30%, the TAC reduction of 13.1% and running costs reduced by 19.3% were achieved.
