Her research focuses on sustainable tourism development at the intersection of socio-cultural, environmental and climatic changes and is informed by relational, more-than-human thinking. Her work takes place primarily in Greenland and the Nordic Arctic.Gunnar Thór JóhannessonGunnar Thór Jóhannesson is professor in the Department of Geography and Tourism at the University of Iceland. His recent research has been on destination dynamics, mobilities and placemaking with a focus on the entanglement of nature and culture. This has for instance involved studies on entrepreneurship, innovation, tourism controversies and policymaking in the context of the Arctic and European High North.René van der DuimRene van der Duim is Emeritus Professor at the Cultural Geography Chair Group, Department of Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands. His research focuses on the relation between tourism, conservation and development, and he has executed research projects in countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania Costa Rica, Portugal and the Netherlands.
