Study of structural and electrical properties of Li0.35+x/2Zn0.1Mn0.1TixFe2.35−3x/2O4 ferrite synthesized by solid-state ceramic technique

The structural and electrical properties of lithium ferrite substituted by different metal ions Zn+2, Ti+4, and Mn+4 simultaneously have been reported. The samples having a representative chemical formula of Li0.35+x/2 Zn0.1Mn0.1TixFe2.35−3x/2O4 where x = 0.0, 0.15, 0.30, 0.45, 0.60, 0.75 were prepared by solid-state ceramic technique. The samples were calcined at 900 °C and sintered at 950 °C for one hour at a controlled heating rate of 10 °C/min. The study of the samples by XRD revealed the single-phase cubic spinel structure. The structural data of the compound like density, lattice constant, and crystallite size was also calculated. The microstructure of the samples was determined by the SEM and the elemental compositions of the various samples were also determined by EDAX. The frequency variation of the dielectric constant, dielectric loss, and impedance have been analyzed using an Impedance Analyzer (E4990A) at room temperature. The results obtained have been analyzed and discussed.
