Shift schedule design of thirty-two-speed binary logic transmission based on man-vehicle-road System

Binary logic transmission (BLT) is an emerging automatic transmission. Because of its high transmission efficiency, high power density, strong load capacity and compact structure, it has been widely used in military vehicles and other special vehicles in recent years. The traditional shift schedules will lead to frequent shifts of the thirty-two-speed BLT and cumbersome solutions for the jump points. Therefore, referring to the speed ratio adjustment strategy of the continuously variable transmission, the paper proposes a dynamic speed ratio adjustment strategy and an economic speed ratio adjustment strategy suitable for the thirty-two-speed BLT, which can ensure the power and economy of vehicle and achieve reasonable gear jumping. At the same time, considering the influence of different road conditions on the shift schedule, the paper introduces the road gradient and vehicle mass to modify the above shift schedule, and designs a thirty-two-speed BLT shift schedule based on the man-vehicle-road system. Based on the physical simulation platform of thirty-two-speed BLT, the proposed shift schedule is simulated and verified. The results show that the shift schedule can meet the demand of vehicle power performance and economic performance, solve the problem of frequent shifts, and significantly enhance the vehicle climbing performance, give full play to the backup power of the vehicle, and effectively improve the working condition adaptability of the thirty-two-speed BLT.
