摘要
The two-step thermal polymerization method was employed to create graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) using a precursor of melamine and ammonium chloride. Calcination temperature was varied to examine its effect on the characteristics of the produced g-C3N4, which were analyzed using XRD, FTIR, BET, and FESEM. The results showed that the BET surface value of g-C3N4 synthesized at 550 ºC was increased due to changes in its morphological properties that were influenced by the calcination temperature. The use of the two-step calcination method was found to enhance the specific surface area of g-C3N4, resulting in exfoliated structures. As a result, g-C3N4 with a high surface area has the potential to be used as a material in the future.
