The chapter is about quantum dots (QDs) that are semiconducting nanoparticles used in various applications because of their exclusive optical characteristics. As the result of higher biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity relative to other QDs, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) have recently received some interest in biomedicine and nanomedicine. GQDs have the same optical properties as QDs and have been shown to cross the blood–brain barrier. As a result, GQDs are now being used to advance our knowledge of neuroscience diagnostics and therapies. The chapter also discusses different drug delivery methods, along with the discussion of critical issues.
