摘要
•Homogeneous cylindrical PVP/CdSe hybrid nanofibers are produced by using electrospinning method.•Higher CdSe filler content caused to strongest nonlinear absorption property at 1064 nm compared to 532 nm.•The main NA mechanism is TPA at 1064 nm whereas the predominant NA mechanism is OPA at 532 nm excitation light energy.•The lower optical limiting threshold was 0.85 mJ/cm2 for higher CdSe filler content in PVP at 1064 nm.
