Analysis and Control of LC-Type Single Active Bridge Converter

In this paper, LC-Type Single Active Bridge (LC-SAB) converter is proposed in order to improve the voltage gain and adjustment range of Single Active Bridge (SAB) converter. This converter is formed by adding auxiliary capacitance on the basis of SAB converter. It can be applied to the highway transportation system with renewable energy access such as photovoltaic and wind power. The working principle and soft-switching range of this topology are analyzed in detail, the voltage gain expressions of SAB and LC-SAB converter are deduced, and their voltage gains are compared. In addition, a hybrid control based on LC-SAB converter is proposed. The control method adjusts the switching frequency and phase shift angle at the same time, realizes soft-switching and reduces the range of frequency. Finally, the feasibility of the control method is verified by simulation.
