Analysis and Comparison of International Power Grid Development and Carbon Neutral Development Roadmap

This paper established an index system of power grid development level, covering six Level 1 dimensions of scale and speed, safety and quality, coordinated development, low-carbon development, service capacity and intelligent level, and incorporating 18 quantifiable indexes belonging to source, network or load side, to comprehensively and quantitatively evaluate the power grid development level. Power grids in various countries are at different stages of development. Developed economies outperform developing economies in terms of power grid safety and quality and low-carbon development level, while the latter boast certain strengths in power grid development speed and electricity price level. China occupies a leading position in the world in terms of power grid development. Under the goal of carbon neutrality, some countries have studied and formulated the low-carbon development goal of power system and the development path of power grid.
