Perceptions of Crisis Caused by COVID-19 in the Speech of College Students Majoring in Physical Education: Sports, Leisure, and Tourism

목적: 본 연구의 목적은 체육 전공 대학생들이 코로나19 상황에서 전공과 밀접한 관련이 있는 스포츠, 레저, 관광 분야의 활동 변화와 전망에 대해 어떠한 인식을 가지고 있는지 알아보고, 무엇이 그러한 인식에 영향을 미쳤는지 밝히는 데 있다.방법: 이를 위해 2021년 2월부터 6월까지 약 5개월간 체육 전공 대학생 남, 여 각 20명씩 총 40명을 대상으로 심층면접을 통해 구어 말뭉치를 구축하였고 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용하여 분석하였다.결과: 본 연구 결과 첫째, 코로나19에 대해 참여자들의 부정적 인식보다 긍정적인 인식이 더 많이 나타났다. 둘째, 코로나19로 인한 제한적인 상황에 대응하고 자발적으로 극복하고자 하는 학생들의 의지가 긍정적인 인식에 영향을 주었다.결론: 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 불특정한 소셜 빅데이터 분석으로는 확인할 수 없었던 체육 전공 대학생들의 유관 분야에서의 코로나19에 대한 인식을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 정제된 양질의 말뭉치를 구축하여 텍스트 마이닝을 통해 이를 확인했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate what kind of perceptions physical education college students have about changes and prospects in areas of sports, leisure, and tourism, which are closely related to their major in the COVID-19 situation, and to reveal what influenced those perceptions.Methods: Spoken corpus was constructed through in-depth interviews with a total of 40 students (20 male and 20 female) majoring in physical education for about 5 months (February-June, 2021), and it was analyzed by text mining techniques.Results: First, results show that there were more positive perceptions regarding COVID-19 than negative perceptions among the participants. Second, students’ willingness to respond to limited situations caused by COVID-19 and overcome them voluntarily affected their positive perceptions.Conclusion: The findings confirm the perception of the effect of COVID-19 on the related fields of physical education students, which was not easy to be confirmed by unspecified social big data analysis. In particular, it is meaningful in terms of these findings were confirmed through text mining which was constructed by refined high-quality corpus.
