摘要
The primary ionization is important for the studies of charge density and discharge formation in the experiments of nuclear and particle physics. In this paper, energy and spatial information has been presented that was obtained from the simulation of primary ionization. We used geant4 and heed++ toolkits to simulate the passage of particles through the gas mixtures. Geant4 toolkit has been used to obtain the information of particles such as energy and position co-ordinates after each step of the simulation in a three dimensional geometry. Different sources like alpha, muon and $$^{55}Fe$$ were simulated in the argon based gas mixtures to study the primary ionization. $$^{55}Fe$$ is a radioactive source that captures electron to produce $$^{55}Mn$$ (x-rays), auger electrons, $$\nu _{e}$$ and gammas. The responses of alpha, muon and $$^{55}Fe$$ in the gas mixtures were distinct because of their different properties.
