摘要
The prominent properties like, cost, efficiency, good optoelectronic properties, low-cost raw materials for fabrication, good solubility and light-weight of perovskite solar cell makes it quite promising candidate for third generation solar cell. In this work, the theoretical study of thickness optimization of lead- based and tin-based halide perovskite solar cells was carried out by using the one-dimensional simulation software, SCAPS-1d and the effect of thickness optimization on the cell parameters as observed and an optimized thickness of each layer was determined. The simulation of the fully-optimized lead and tin-based halide cell was done which demonstrated efficiency of 20.83 % and 15.02 % respectively. The reason for the lower efficiency of the tin-based perovskite is that the Sn is not stable in +2 oxidation state and it converts to Sn+4 rapidly gives rise to higher recombination and also deteriorates and it affects the solar cell performance. Thus, the optimization of lead-based halide cell gives a good output and can be a good candidate for industrialization.
