The burgeoning Synthetic Chemistry: a review for grant application and merit review in the field of Synthetic Chemistry from 2018 to 2022

In 2018, the Department of Chemical Sciences of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) reorganized and optimized the disciplines, which leads to the establishment of a new discipline of Synthetic Chemistry with a subcode of B01. The discipline of Synthetic Chemistry (B01) covers grant applications from many research fields, such as traditional inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry and others. Herein, the application and funding of different types of programs in Synthetic Chemistry (B01) from 2018 to 2022 are summarized.
