Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna with Resistance Loading on Bent Terminal

This paper presented an antipodal Vivaldi antenna with resistance loading on bent terminal. The bent terminal is composed by bidirectionally linear folded lines to prolong the effective current path, and the loaded resistors on folded lines are utilized to consume partial current energy of low frequencies. Rectangular slot edges on flared patch are also configurated. All the operations lead to remarkable improvements on low frequency performances. Simulated results show that the antenna aperture width is about 0.18 lambda(0) at the lowest operating frequency.
