A Differential-Fed Two-Arm Helix Antenna with Top Circular Patch Loaded

摘要
A differential-fed two-arm helix antenna (DFTAHA) with top circular patch loaded is proposed in this paper. The differential operation can improve the symmetry of radiation pattern for the single-end operation. In addition, the feeding scheme, which is similar to the planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA), is used to adjust the differential matching. The simulated results show that the antenna achieves the impedance bandwidth of 23.4%, AR bandwidth of 24% and the peak gain of 10.4 dBi. The proposed DFTAHA will be a candidate scheme for Ku-band CP satellite communication applications.
