Interference Analysis Method for C-band Spaceborne SAR System to Ground-based Radars

According to China's radio frequency management regulations, the spaceborne Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system using C-band (5250-5570 MHzfrequency band) needs to conduct the co-frequency interference analysis and reach an agreement with the ground-based radar system before the launch of the satellite. In this paper, an evaluation criteria of the time-varying interference of the C-band spaceborne SAR system to ground-based radar system is proposedfor the first time, and the deterministic calculation method of the interference signal power in time domain is provided Since some crucial parameters are time-varying, a simulation software is utilized and the simulation scenarios, parameter settings and simulation results of a typical example are presented A simplified method is proposed to pre-evaluate the interference Furthermore, the special requirements to protect the aircraft where the C-band airborne radars deployed is proposed and the calculation method of the interference arriving at the surface of the aircraft is provided
