Scheduled Power Tracking Control used for the Virtual Power Plant Internal Contingency

摘要
The Virtual Power Plant (VPP) has been proposed to control a cluster of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) as a single power plant in the power system dynamics. However, most of the paper on the VPP transient response is facing to the situation of a contingency occurred outside of the VPP in the main grid, while this paper contributes to a first study on the situation of a contingency occurring inside of the VPP. Following a VPP internal contingency, to avoid a penalty due to the mismatched power generation to the scheduling from the Transmission System Operator (TSO), this paper proposes a centralized power tracking control in the VPP operator to simultaneously enforce the rest of the online unit tracking the scheduled power. A parameter design is then proposed to ensure the stability of the proposed control. A real-time simulation in Matlab/Simulink and a IEEE 36-bus system simulation in DOME serves to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control and its stability.
