摘要

•Macrophage-to-myofibroblast transition (MMT) was involved in cardiac fibrosis in UUO rats.•Eplerenone inhibited the aldosterone-induced increased secretion of CTGF, the target of MR, from macrophages.•The MR/ CTGF pathway participated in MMT and played an important role.
