摘要
The recent division of dendritic polymers that derive from radial instead of linear polymerization came to the fore in the last 20 years and opened up new horizons to applications requiring outstanding adsorption and catalytic properties. In this context, the plausible evolution of nanomaterials deriving from these tree-shaped curiosities for the therapy of a multitude of ecological degradation cases will be presented. This includes conventional formation processes such as lipophilic films from external group functionalization, chemical bonding, and adsorption or cross-linking into porous surfaces and unique alternatives for instance dendron evolution from solid substrates, biomimetic inorganic support formation, and mineralization. Emphasis will be given on implementations on the fields of pollutant adsorption and filtration. Future perspectives, some of them already under research, will also be discussed.
