摘要
This chapter provides an overview of the magnetic, electron spin resonance (ESR), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) properties of organic conductors. Besides conductivity and optical reflectance, the spin susceptibility and ESR properties usually provide a very good characterization of the electronic properties of organic conductors: namely, bandwidths, role of electron-electron interactions, and nature of the ground state. On the other hand, a very direct proof of the one-dimensional character of the electronic motion is given by the NMR properties. The diversity of this parameter among the variety of organic conductors has posed difficulties to the formulation of a consistent theory, but despite the limitations, the study of this parameter has been of great value. NMR has proved to be one of the most valuable techniques to obtain information on electron distribution and dynamics, as well as on dimensionality and on the role of electron-electron interactions, in organic conductors.
