摘要
Due to carbon emissions and the shortage of natural resources, power management must be done in every possible way. Power wastage is a significant concern that needs to be addressed and has to be overcome through innovations. Household Electric appliances cover the majority of power wastage due to human negligence. To overcome this, automation is required to automatically switch off things when it is not in use. The idea behind the Automatic Power Saving System is to detect the total number of persons and to take actions based on the count. The proximity sensor is used for the detection of objects or targets. These sensors are connected to microcontrollers and act as the system’s input. Keypad and Sensors are the input, whereas the relay is the output unit for the APS (Automatic Power Saving) System. The electric appliances are turned off when no persons are in the room. Finally, power is consumed effectively, and wastage is minimized to a different extent.
