An increasing amount of evidence suggests that the strength of the electric field (EF) has biological implications during electroconvulsive therapy (Argyelan et al., 2019, Deng et al., 2021). Despite these developments, the individual level of prediction is difficult as the effect of EF has individual and regional differences, and is also probably modulated over the course of the treatment.
