Fluorine doping-induced oxygen vacancy-rich TiO2 via contact activation for signal boosting in electrochemical sensing

•A simple room-temperature F doping strategy via contact activation was firstly proposed.•The oxygen vacancy was introduced into TiO2 by F doping.•Amperometric response is significantly enhanced by ∼ 350 times after F doping.•F-doped OV-TiO2 exhibits good sensing performance in DAH detection.
