Dynamics of a stochastic nutrient-plankton model with impulsive control strategy

In this paper, we investigate an impulsive nutrient-plankton model in a stochastic environment. The model dynamics have been studied by using the theoretical as well as numerical approaches. We observe the existence of a global positive solution, which indicates that the population size will remain non-negative for sufficiently large time. By using a Lyapunov function, we derive sufficient conditions for the existence of a positive T -periodic solution. Our numerical results indicate that the coupling between environmental stochasticity and impulsive control play an important role in regulating the interplay between nutrients concentration and plankton densities in the aquatic ecosystems. Overall, the results obtained in this study may provide insight into how plankton dynamics respond to impulsive perturbation under environmental fluctuation.
