•A de novo peptide dynamic hydrogel (ACFP) inspired by humanized defensin nanonets.•ACFP possesses antimicrobial properties derived from the nanonet structure of defensin.•ACFP can prevent bleeding and promote wound healing in an effective manner.•ACFP promoted healing of a complicated intraperitoneal wound involving the cecum and adjacent abdominal walls while preventing tissue adhesion.
