O-vacancy-rich and heterostructured Cu/Cu2O/NiO@NiCu foam self-supported advanced electrocatalyst towards hydrogen evolution: An experimental and DFT study

摘要
•O-vacancy-rich and heterostructured Cu/Cu2O/NiO@NiCu foam was constructed.•Cu/Cu2O/NiO@NiCu shows excellent electrocatalytic performance for HER.•Cu/Cu2O/NiO@NiCu is a top-tier among existing Cu-based alkaline HER catalysts.•Super HER catalytic performance of Cu/Cu2O/NiO@NiCu was revealed by DFT calculation.
