Meta-kaolinite/LaFeCoO3 microsphere catalyst for photocatalytic persulfate activation: Enhanced removal of tetracycline hydrochloride

•Kaolinite can avoid agglomeration of catalysts and expose more active centers.•Co-doping accelerated local charge separations and prolonged the carrier lifetime.•The electrons enriched on LFCO can activate PS to generate ROS.•PS bonded with MK-structured OH groups and utilized e− to generate SO4•−.•The degradation mechanism under the Vis/PS system were proposed.
