Major depressive disorder (MDD) frequently originates in early development, yet our understanding of its neural basis in youth is not well established, and existing primary studies on the topic include inconsistent findings. This study aims to advance our understanding of the neural basis of MDD in youth by identifying differential neural activation in youth diagnosed with MDD compared to healthy controls.
