Development of two immunochromatographic test strips based on signal amplification and selenium nanoparticles for the rapid detection of T-2 mycotoxin

•Two immunochromatographic test strips for T-2 toxin were developed.•Dual gold nanoparticle and selenium nanoparticle probes were synthesized.•The detection sensitivity of two test strips was 1 and 0.25 ng/mL, respectively.•Test strips were developed with high T-2 sensitivity, specificity, and stability.
