Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of glycogen synthase kinase encoding genes in foxtail millet (Setaria italica L.) under salinity, dehydration, and oxidative stress

摘要
•Eight glycogen synthase kinase (SiGSKs) genes were identified in Setaria italica.•Based on the phylogeny and gene structure SiGSKs family members were classified into four main groups.•SiGSKs shows differential expression during abiotic stresses: dehydration, salt, and oxidative stress.•Current work can be use as blueprint to better understand the role of SiGSKs in abiotic stress tolerance and functionally characterize in under-utilized crop plants like foxtail millet and pearl millet.
