Incidence, Re-intervention and Survival Associated with Type II Endoleak at Hospital Discharge after Elective EVAR in the Vascular Quality Initiative.

Type II endoleaks remain common after EVAR within the VQI and are not associated with long-term mortality. Re-interventions for T2EL were not associated with improved overall survival among patients with T2EL. While additional data surrounding the appropriate role of re-intervention for T2EL remains necessary, it appears that the natural history of T2EL is benign.
